1. Check the Components
Note: When checking the components, you can compare them directly with the hardware checklist shown in the image.

2. Assembly Steps
2.1 Install the Wheels
Insert the wheels onto the motor shafts, making sure the wheel axle is fully and securely attached to the motor shaft. Manually rotate the wheels to check for smooth movement—there should be no friction or misalignment. Also, ensure the motor wires are correctly connected to the controller (they are usually pre-installed; just double-check the connections).
Note: Avoid frequently turning the wheels by hand, as this can lead to excessive wear on the motor’s carbon brushes and shorten its lifespan.

2.2 Install the Battery Board

Attach the copper standoffs to the designated mounting holes on the car chassis (align the holes carefully). Then use M3 screws to secure the battery board onto the standoffs.
Finally, connect the battery board to the chassis using the power cable.

2.3 Install the Matrix Laser Ranging Module
Module Installation

Use M3 screws to mount the matrix laser ranging module onto its dedicated bracket. Make sure the module is oriented in the correct direction.

Secure the bracket to the expansion support frame using hand-tightened screws.

Bracket Installation

Fix the copper standoffs onto the battery board, then secure the bracket to the standoffs using hand-tightened screws. Finally, connect the module to the I2C port on the car chassis using an I2C cable.
Note: Make sure the color order of the cable wires matches the color markings on the I2C pins.

2.4 Install the Battery
Place the battery inside the pull-tab strap, then insert the battery along with the strap into the battery compartment. Ensure the battery’s positive (+) and negative (–) terminals are aligned correctly with the markings in the compartment.
Important: The kit does not include a battery. Please prepare your own 18650 lithium battery.

3. Overall Testing
3.1 Power Test
Turn on the power switch on the battery board and check whether the battery level indicator lights up.

Next, turn on the power switch on the car chassis and check whether the power indicator on the chassis and the laser ranging module lights up.

3.2 Sensor Check
Lift the car and observe whether all the blue indicator LEDs on the 5-way line tracking sensors are lit. If all lights are functioning normally, the assembly is successful.
